Gabriel Hutchinson is a photographer from London, UK, now based in Toronto. Working mostly in photojournalism, portraiture, and commercial assignments with a focus on people, place, and narrative, his work spans both fast-paced editorial environments and more considered storytelling. Combining observational reportage with portraiture, he places emphasis on building trust and working closely with subjects to create thoughtful, human-led images.
Project Gallery
Gabriel is exploring the relationship between humans and dogs in the context of working dogs. Gabriel is interested in dogs trained across disciplines such as human remains detection, explosive detection, search and rescue, and other specialist roles. In particular, he wants to explore the relationships that develop between handler and dog while working together in these important and often high-pressure environments.
