Katherine is an independent photographer and visual storyteller, based between Canada and Hong Kong. Oscillating between traditional documentary photojournalism and experimental alternative processes, her work explores the visible and invisible intersections of science, spirituality and consciousness. Through her practice, she seeks to ask not only what is happening to the world, but how we might remember and reimagine our place within it. Exploring themes of social resistance, the climate crisis, and cultural identity, her documentary photojournalism work has most recently appeared in The Narwhal, the Globe and Mail, and the Washington Post.

Falling Sacred Giants
Five years after the Fairy Creek protests, humanity's relationship with British Columbia's remaining old-growth forests continues to evolve through the people who have dedicated years of their lives to protecting them. As temporary logging deferrals near expiry, the project explores what has changed, what remains at stake, and why these ancient forests continue to inspire profound ecological, cultural and spiritual devotion.
