Diego Lozano
Diego Lozano is a photographer early in his career. His work in documentary photography attempts to use abstraction, composition, and surrealism to convey stories to his audience that deliver both a message and trigger personal moments of reflection. Currently, his work focuses on investigating our changing environments. Using photography to capture industrial landscapes, he explores the human impacts on Vancouver's environment and land, as well as the repercussions on the urban environment. He is extremely grateful to have access to this opportunity to learn more about documentary photography as a passion and occupation. He would like to extend a deep thanks to The Globe And Mail Foundation in these early stages of his career.

Docked' is an investigation into the increasing tension surrounding Canadian Ports. Economic uncertainty has led to an increased investment and pressure on local businesses to prop Canada's economy in a time when environmentalism seeks to ask reform to Canada's economy. 'Docked' reflects on this tension by bringing the viewer to these landscape to experience the scale and surrealism found there as a reflection on the nations economic direction and uncertainty.
