Martin “Marty” Baron retired as Executive Editor of The Washington Post in February 2021, after spending eight years overseeing the Post’s print and digital news. Under Baron’s leadership news staff have won 18 Pulitzer Prizes, including 11 awarded to the Post for public service, national reporting, investigative reporting, explanatory reporting and other categories. In 2023 Baron published the book Collision of Power: Trump, Bezos, and The Washington Post. 

Previously, Baron was Editor of The Boston Globe. During his more than 11 years with the publication, the Globe won a total of six Pulitzer Prizes for public service, explanatory journalism, national reporting and criticism. The public service recognition was awarded to the Globe in 2003 for its inquiry into a pattern of concealing clergy sex abuse in the local Catholic Archdiocese. The story of the investigation was told in the gripping Academy Award–winning movie Spotlight (2015). Earlier, during his tenure as Editor of The Miami Herald, the newspaper earned a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news coverage.

Katie Drummond is the Global Editorial Director of WIRED, where she leads the editorial and revenue strategy for the brand across all channels and markets. Prior to joining WIRED, Drummond was the Senior Vice President of Global News & Entertainment at VICE, where she led the global expansion of VICE News across Latin America, Europe and Asia, and oversaw all VICE digital brands including Noisey, Munchies, Rec Room, Motherboard and Waypoint. Previously, Drummond held editorial leadership positions at several media outlets, including as Deputy Editor of Bloomberg.com and Associate Managing Editor of The Verge. Drummond has led newsrooms that have been honored with a Peabody Award, as well as several Emmys, Online Journalism Awards, ASMEs and others.

David Walmsley is the Editor-in-Chief of The Globe and Mail. Under his editorship, The Globe has won the Michener award for public service, the highest distinction in Canadian journalism, five times. David is the current president of the World Editors Forum, a global role representing the editors of newspapers in more than 120 countries. David is also the creator of World News Day, an annual day of awareness about the importance of journalism, and he is on the steering committee of the Sir Harry Evans Investigative and Photojournalism Fellowships.
